History & Mission
Christ Fellowship Church in Knightstown, Indiana was founded in 1984 by Pastor Bill Robert, Pastor Ernie Robinson, and Pastor Jess Ireton. The mission of the church has not changed since its inception. Their goal was to grow a community of believers committed to the full gospel of Jesus Christ and to seek Him together always. They summed this goal up in a simple mission statement: "Our call is to go out into the world to seek and save the lost and to become strong mature, militant christians who will be the church." Today, our mission remains the same: to go reach a lost world for Jesus in central Indiana, to connect those people to God and the community of the saints, and to grow them in their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. We do all of this because of the great love God has given us for the world and it is our mission to move His kingdom forward through the love of Jesus Christ, His son. We call this Love Forward and it is the mission of our church.
What we Believe
Statement of Faith
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, killed, and buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from where He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, God's holy Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. We believe in baptism in water for the forgiveness of sins, and in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit sent from the Father to enable us to live a Holy life. We believe in the spiritual gifts as described in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. We believe these gifts are manifested today as Jesus said they would be. We believe in the supremacy and truth of the Bible as God's revealed word to all men.
